Part of Excel Worksheet

An MS Excel spreadsheet is made up of three things-rows, columns, and their intersections, cells. Columns are typically labeled using letters (A, B, C, D, …) and rows are typically labeled using numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, …). An intersection of a column and a row makes a cell in an MS Excel spreadsheet. There are three basic parts of an Excel Spreadsheet:

  • Column - The vertical segments that you see on the spreadsheet are called columns.
  • Row - The horizontal segments are referred to as rows.
  • Cell - Each box that is created from a row and column intersecting is referred to as a cell.
